When your card has been signed you are ready to grade. Make sure you are aware of the date and time of your grading. You will need to wear your current Little Ninjas T-shirt to grade . When you arrive for your grading make sure you bring your current training card, you will need to hand it in when you register, you will also need to pay your grading fee, please note we do not take cheques.

Before the grading starts there is a warm up. The grading panel consists of a number of TKF instructors, students are called up in small groups and asked to complete the four elements of their syllabus, Kihon, Breakfalls, Kata and Kumite.

Each element is graded and a mark given, either a pass or distinction.

Once you have finished, you will need to wait until all the students have finished grading, then you will be lined up again and the results announced. If you are successful, you will be given your new T-shirt. Certificates are given out a few weeks later during normal training sessions.

Family and friends are welcome to come along to support you during the grading.

Sometimes, you may not be successful. If this is the case, you will be given a replacement training record card and your licence will be returned to you. If you have been unsuccessful in just one element, then you will only have to repeat this one element at the next grading. If you have been unsuccessful on two or more elements, you will need to retake the whole grading again, an instructor will explain to you why you have been unsuccessful and what you need to do next.
