This weekend saw the TKF ‘A’ Squad compete at the CHKA Open Championships. This competition is a very popular and attracts some of the best competitors from around the country including England Squad members in both Youth, Kata and Kumite categories. Nether the less, it didn’t stop the TKF Squad from performing to their best!!
We had a great start to the day with Cameron Panday and Izzy Brown both gaining gold medals in their respective kata categories. Bronze medals for James Leveridge, Ellie Rose Fyfe, Katie Middleton and Matthew Yardy just missing out for a place in the final after losing their semi-final matches.
Henry Pegge fought later in the afternoon in his Open Weight category. After some brilliant fights and some solid shots against various opponents he was able to come away with a Silver medal after losing to a very experienced fighter in the final
